StarQuest Dance Competition
The Experience is the Real Award.
In the world of dance, we often talk about the importance of flow”, the way one movement travels into the next, effortless and free. But Michenxi knows, that process takes immense dedication, heart, and a strong support system. During #SQAllen1, we witnessed a beautiful display of that journey through Michenxi from XJ Star. Michenxi took the stage with a piece inspired by the movement of water smooth, fluid, and powerful. But what made this performance truly special was that she choreographed it herself. For a young artist, the leap from student to creator is a huge milestone, and Michenxi stepped into that role with grace and a heart full of gratitude. The road to the stage wasn’t without its hurdles. Memorizing a self-choreographed work can be a challenge, and whenever Michenxi felt unsure, she turned to her mother for the encouragement she needed to keep going. That bond turned a moment of doubt into a moment of triumph. Her favorite part of the performance A powerful moment standing atop her prop, symbolizing the strength and confidence she found within herself. Michenxi’s story is a reminder to us all that when we trust our own creative voice and lean on the ones who love us, we can navigate any challenge as smoothly as water flowing, and that’s why she is this week’s perfect #SQMomentOfTheWeek !
