At #SQOrlando1, we witnessed a truly magical moment as Melanie from The Dance Collective stepped onto the stage for her very first solo performance—ever! Not only was this her solo debut, but she also had the honor of being the very first entry of the entire competition weekend. Talk about starting strong!
When we asked Melanie how she felt about kicking things off, she admitted she was a little nervous but had so much fun dancing her jazz solo, her favorite style. Her energy and enthusiasm were contagious, setting the tone for an incredible weekend ahead.
Melanie shared that she’s already looking forward to her next performance and is excited to work on her solo even more throughout the season. With her positive attitude and dedication, we can’t wait to see her shine again! Special shoutout to her choreographer, Hannah Tiemeyer, for creating such a fantastic routine.
